STEPHEN BURROUGHES has been County Councillor for the Framlingham Division since May 2013, and re-elected in 2017 and 2021. Stephen is Suffolk ‘born and bred’ and lives in the Chediston with his wife Wendy and family.
Stephen has gained considerable experience working in the public and private sectors and fully understands the pressures facing small rural businesses. He has also a good understanding of the complexities of local government and how vital it is to get service delivery right.
Stephen says: “I have worked hard for all the people in Framlingham Division over the past four years, trying to ensure that we live in a safe and pleasant community. I would like to be given the opportunity to continue to work hard for you and to ensure Suffolk County Council delivers quality and innovative first class services at a sensible cost.”
“For Framlingham I want to fight for the construction of the A12 ‘Four Villages’ bypass, work to reduce rural speeding and excessive HGV use in our communities, ensure that Suffolk has excellent schools and make sure we have outstanding levels of care for the elderly.”
